PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk is a plantation company founded through PT Pandu Dian Pertiwi, a company owned by the Soeryadjaya family, T.P. Rachmat, Benny Subianto, Kiki Sutantyo, and Rahadi Santoso. The company is one of Indonesia’s largest producers of crude palm oil (CPO) with almost 273,000 hectares of plantation area in Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi, consisting of 212,622 hectares of nucleus estate and 60,372 hectares of plasma estate. PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk and its subsidiaries have a total production capacity of more than 1,200 tons of CPO production. Its 42 subsidiaries operate in Sulawesi, Sumatra, Java and Kalimantan.
